The mega resort is located on a beach with calm water just south of the airport. Nizuc, Sunrise and the newly renovated Grand all have pools, restaurants, and activities. Guests can either walk between the sections on the boardwalk or take the shuttle that runs all day. It is nice to have free phone calls to the US and fully stocked guest rooms.
It is worth it if you can lure yourself away from your pool. Check out the resort amenities, such as a championship golf course and non motorized water sports, if you want to soak up the sun on the beach. Kempinski took over Grand Hotel Cancun. Octavio and Abril who are the hosts are very friendly and make you feel right at home. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home. Their son and daughter work in the cafe and are generous people.
